A Woman Of Strength And Principal
Alice had been in business for a few years by the time Gene and Toni met. Toni was wearing her hair short during the time Gene wanted Toni to meet his mother. Toni needed a haircut and Gene felt this would be a great opportunity for the two to meet. Oh boy...was he wrong! |

Gene arranged for Toni to get her hair cut at his mother's barbershop. Toni wasn't aware of how strongly Alice felt about Gene and Patricia getting back together. She knew they had two children and they were Alice's only grandchildren and she wanted the best for them and what grandparent or parent wouldn't for that matter. Toni had no knowledge of Alice's feelings. As far as Toni knew, Gene and Patricia were not together and had not been together in years, you would have thought most people would have adjusted by now. Oooh nooo…… not Alice Burrough! When Toni met Alice it didn't go as well as she had expected. |

Let's just say the scarf she wore into the barbershop was the same one she wore out. Toni's hair looked as if it had been plucked by a chicken. |

All she could say was "that's all right it'll grow back", while putting the scarf on her head. Toni smiled and went on her way. |

Needless to say Toni's hair did grow back, but she never sat in that barbers chair again. |
