Six months later, Gene and Toni were as close as ever. They spent all of their time away from work together. Toni was still separated from her son, Luke, but she had high hopes of seeing him soon. While Toni was missing her son and family, her mother, Hazel, was busy figuring out a way that their whole family could come for a visit. Luke's school was scheduled to be closed for a two week holiday. Toni's mother felt that this would be the opportune time for them to make the trip to Florida. After Hazel spoke to her other two children, everyone agreed it was a great idea. One week later, Toni received a phone call from her brother Bobby.

He called to let her know that they were in town and he needed directions to her apartment. Toni was so happy after learning that her family was in town, she started babbling.

Gene was bewildered and began trying to find out what was going on.

Toni was talking so fast that Gene couldn't understand one word she was saying

He took the phone from her in order to find out what all the excitement was about.

Once he hung up the phone, he told Toni that her family was only about five minuets away. A few minutes later, Toni heard a car pulling up to their apartment building. She ran to the window to see if it was her family. When she realized that her family was downstairs, she just started screaming and ran down the stairs. The first person she saw was her sister, Dovie and then she saw her mother, Hazel.

Next she saw her father, Robert, her brother Bobby and his wife Barbara. Then she saw her sister's boyfriend, George, and finally, she laid her eyes on her baby boy Luke…….. The person she had been dying to see.

She could hardly wait to hold him in her arms again.

They were so happy to see each other again. Oh my goodness! What a reunion! Toni and her family had a lot of catching up to do.

They were talking so fast it was hard for them to keep up with one another,

while Luke and Gene were getting to know one another.

as Toni looked around at her family she felt as if her heart was going to burst wide open.

All she could say was "Thank you God for this reunion"

as she held on to her baby boy.

After they had finished sharing all the things that had been going on in their lives, the guys started talking about getting a card game together for the next day.

The first thing they wanted to do the next morning was to get a porker game going after they had their breakfast. Gene and Toni had made a few friends in their new complex and one of them happened to love poker. When Jim arrived, Toni announced "Let the games began".

Jim was also in a wheelchair, but that never stopped him from playing cards in Gene and Toni's second floor apartment. Gene would pick him up and carry him up the stairs. Then someone else would bring up his wheelchair.

Jim loved playing cards at their apartment. Toni's parents were staying across town with aunt Lucille, Hazel's sister.

They were all there for the big card game and another family reunion.

Gene was having a streak of good luck which would only last for a couple of days, because Toni's sister, Dovie, always walks away with the money at the end of the game.
